Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as structural assemblies, and custom fabrication, contributing to high-quality manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Welding with GMAW
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Rigging materials and components as needed for assembly or installation processes
- Conduct basic math calculations to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, crane operation, forklift use, and construction activities
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Welding Stainless and Aluminum would be an asset
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, schematics, and blueprint reading skills
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience working with structural steel, or similar fabrication projects is preferred
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Prior experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining processes, or assembly is advantageous
- Knowledge of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in fabrication tasks
