Duties
- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, merchandising, and customer service initiatives
- Manage purchasing and inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels of liquor products while minimizing waste
- Oversee pricing strategies and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability
- Train, develop, and motivate staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash handling, and customer engagement
- Conduct regular merchandising audits to maintain attractive displays that enhance product visibility and appeal
- Handle payroll processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to alcohol sales and store licensing requirements
- Negotiate with vendors for purchasing agreements, discounts, or special promotions to benefit the store’s bottom line
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain loyal clients through community engagement or special events
- Maintain excellent communication with team members through effective phone etiquette and organizational skills
Experience
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail sales or store management, preferably within the beverage or liquor industry
- Strong background in merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and marketing techniques
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting, training & development of staff, as well as team leadership skills
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and payroll processing
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer interactions
- Familiarity with legal regulations surrounding alcohol licensing and sales compliance
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and administrative tasks
- Effective communication skills for engaging customers and leading a team in a fast-paced environment
