Cleaner / Building Cleaning Operations

We oversee the daily management and development of a diverse portfolio of multi-family rental properties.
This full-time position is based at District 121 in Edmonton and plays a key role in maintaining clean, welcoming, and well‑presented residential communities for our residents.
Duties:
Reporting to the Site Manager, the successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day presentation and cleanliness of the property. This role is well-suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys hands‑on tasks, and contributes positively to a team‑oriented environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and maintaining interior common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, garbage rooms, parkades, and amenity spaces
- Cleaning vacant suites to prepare them for new occupancy
- Removing garbage and debris from the property as required
- Performing spot cleaning of walls, doors, and other surfaces
- Assisting with general custodial and building upkeep tasks
- Supporting seasonal outdoor duties such as snow removal and basic grounds maintenance
- Reporting maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to the Site Manager
- Following all safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning products in accordance with SDS and site safety policies
- Other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning experience in residential, commercial, or property management settings is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently
- Professional and respectful communication with residents, coworkers, and management
- Willingness to complete a background check
HyLand offers competitive wages, with a salary range of $47,000–$52,000 annually, plus benefits.
