Position Title: Gasket Tech
Shift: Monday – Friday 3:30 pm – 12:00 am
Overview
The Gasket Tech position reports to the gasket supervisor and is responsible for manufacturing Spiral gaskets using the vertical or horizontal winding machine for all type of materials.
Work Performed:
· Safe operation of vertical and horizontal Gasket Tech
· Ability to read and understand instructions on work order
· To locate the correct wire and filler required for the job
· Accurately weigh and track materials so inventory is updated correctly
· Change over mandrels for different size’s
· Assemble gaskets together
· Assist with first piece inspection and final
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Must be able to read and write fluent English
· Forklift ticket an asset
· 1-3 years of direct experience with spiral wound gaskets
· Strong safety and quality background
· Mechanically incline
· Manufacturing background
· Ability to read and understand instructions on work orders
· Proven experience in gasket winding and assembling would be an asset
· Able to lift up to 40 lbs of material and to stand for a long period of time
First Year Deliverables:
Success in the first year will be determined by the employee’s ability to:
1) Operation of the vertical & horizontal machines
2) Show up to work on time, be reliable
3) Meet all the safety and quality requirements
4) Meet delivery requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
