Duties
- Prepare patients for stress testing procedures by explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable and informed
- Monitor vital signs continuously during stress tests, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels
- Operate stress testing equipment such as treadmill or pharmacologic stress systems with precision and confidence
- Record detailed physiological data and interpret diagnostic evaluation results for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained according to safety standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to cardiology procedures.
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring systems to track patient heart rhythms during stress tests
- Ability to accurately assess vital signs and respond promptly to abnormal findings during testing
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
