We are seeking a full-time Certified Red Seal Mechanic to join our growing team in Kamloops. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take on a Shop Foreman leadership role while working on a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and specialized equipment.
In addition to diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance, this position will be involved in custom fabrication and modifications for specialized spray trucks and equipment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can organize shop operations, mentor apprentices and technicians, and help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Qualifications
- Certified Red Seal Mechanic
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (Class 1 preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with commercial vehicles and heavy equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience considered a strong asset
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Oversee daily shop operations and assist with scheduling and workflow
- Support and mentor apprentice
- Complete custom fabrication projects and equipment modifications
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure safety compliance
- Overtime, weekends, on-call rotations required
