Overview
The Hammer Bro's Carpentry is hiring a Carpenter’s Helper to add to our growing family business. We’re looking for a reliable, motivated individual to assist with building decks, landings, porches, and installing Smart Start exterior trim/details on residential new construction homes.
Duties
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials using hand tools such as nail guns, chop saws, drills, reciprocating saws, and hammers.
- Support the installation of exterior siding, trim, windows, and other finishing components
- Help with caulking and sealing joints.
- Assist with building decks, stairs, landings, railings, and pillars.
- Carry heavy materials and equipment safely across job sites (including up ladders), while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, unloading and setting up ladders, and disposing of debris regularly.
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools commonly used in carpentry or construction environments (nail gun, chop saw, impact drill, reciprocating saw).
- 1 year construction or handyman experience preferred; will train the right person.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout the workday.
- A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license to get to job sites.
- Must be comfortable with heights and working on ladders.
- Strong work ethic and an attention to detail.
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
