Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker/Installer to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will possess strong woodworking, carpentry, and installation skills, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves building custom cabinets, installing them securely, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in residential or commercial projects. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinetry and related woodwork.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinets using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment.
- Install cabinets and fixtures on-site with precision, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Perform related tasks such as restoration work, framing, drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, and caulking as needed.
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained during all phases of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople such as electricians or plumbers when integrating cabinetry into larger projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout the job site.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making or installation is preferred.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, rebar installation, roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical work, or handyman tasks is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction painting and woodworking techniques is a plus.
- Prior experience in restoration or manufacturing environments will be considered an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods. Candidates should demonstrate strong craftsmanship in carpentry or woodworking disciplines along with excellent attention to detail. A background in construction or related trades combined with a commitment to quality workmanship will ensure success in this role.
