Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to concrete construction and finishing. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete placement, including setting forms and ensuring proper alignment
- Pour and spread concrete using hand tools, ensuring even distribution and proper leveling
- Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, screeds, and other tools
- Apply curing compounds or sealants to protect the finished surface
- Repair and restore existing concrete structures as needed
- Operate heavy equipment such as power trowels or concrete saws
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in concrete finishing or related field preferred
- Knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- Ability to read blueprints or construction plans
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Skills:
- Proficient in concrete finishing techniques
- Knowledge of masonry principles and practices
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for concrete placement and finishing
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed
