Project Manager / Estimator
Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and organized Project Manager / Estimator to oversee air and water treatment system projects from initial quotation through final completion. This role combines estimating, project ownership, customer communication, scheduling, budgeting, and operational coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is highly accountable, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, and capable of taking full ownership of project execution. Experience in the municipal/industrial environmental treatment industry is an asset.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Review drawings, specifications, site conditions, and customer requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and proposals.
- Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify labour, material, equipment, and scheduling requirements.
- Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings when required.
- Assist in developing project scopes and value-engineering opportunities.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical costing information.
Project Management & Ownership
- Take full ownership of awarded projects from kickoff through closeout.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and profitability.
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and equipment scheduling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues or delays.
- Track project costs, change orders, and scope modifications.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Operations & Coordination
- Work closely with field staff, vendors, and internal departments.
- Support workforce planning and scheduling.
- Ensure projects comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to management.
- Assist with process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in project management, estimating, construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, costing, and project financial management.
- Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
