We’re looking for enthusiastic and dependable Line and Prep Cooks to join our growing team at East Point Reef Club — a brand-new surf and spa destination located in beautiful Bridal Falls, British Columbia. Whether you're plating meals on the line or prepping ingredients behind the scenes, this role is essential to delivering fast, healthy, and delicious options to our guests in a fun and high-energy environment.
Responsibilities
Line Cook Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items to order in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Keep your workstation clean, stocked, and organized throughout service.
- Communicate clearly with the prep team and supervisor regarding stock levels and equipment issues.
- Support end-of-day cleaning and breakdown procedures.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Prep Cook Duties
- Wash, chop, and portion ingredients according to prep standards.
- Label, date, and store food items safely and accurately.
- Replenish prep and service stations as needed to support a smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized prep area.
- Assist line cooks during service rushes and team up on key tasks.
- Notify supervisors of low stock or supply shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience preferred (either line or prep); fast-casual or high-volume settings are a plus.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene best practices.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow direction, stay calm under pressure, and work efficiently.
- Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn.
