Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence, excellent observation skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and implementing loss prevention measures to protect property and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and respond promptly to suspicious behavior.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
- Respond effectively to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Assist visitors and employees by providing directions or information while maintaining security protocols.
- Conduct access control checks at entry points to verify identification and authorize entry when appropriate.
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security services, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation is highly desirable.
- Experience in loss prevention strategies is a plus.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security risks quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role.
