We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus promptly
- Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Manage guest flow during busy hours to optimize seating efficiency
- Assist with special requests and accommodate guest needs courteously
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service throughout all interactions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred, especially within restaurants or hotels
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service industry standards is advantageous
- Prior restaurant or hotel experience is desirable but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
