Job Description:
We at NuBuild are currently looking for an energetic team player with previous material handling experience to manage and distribute material in a fast-pace environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties including and not limited to: Loading and unloading, picking and packing material orders, moving products and materials, loading and unloading trucks using a rubber tire backhoe. The successful candidate will be expected to operate equipment in order to complete the necessary tasks. Attention to detail and good communication skills are required.
Duties:
· Unload trucks delivering large reels of conduit and fiber optic cable using a rubber tire backhoe.
· Organize and store materials efficiently in the construction yard.
· Assist with loading crews and contractors with reels and other materials required for job sites.
· Operate heavy equipment, including a rubber tire backhoe, forklift, and pump cart, ensuring safe material handling.
· Track incoming and outgoing materials using material management software.
· Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
· Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and safety regulations.
· Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand, forklift, or a rubber tire backhoe.
· Pick orders and prepare and stage for shipping.
· Perform other handling duties such as: cycle counting, adjustments and sorting.
· Put away received materials to proper locations.
· Perform special tasks and assignments as required by management and supervisory personnel.
Qualifications
· Forklift certification required.
· Experience operating heavy equipment, specifically a rubber tire backhoe.
· Experience in the Telecommunications field and related equipment.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Experience in material handling and working in a construction yard.
· Valid Class G driver’s license.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Capabilities:
· Understands and applies all safety rules and requirements to the assigned task/activity.
· Demonstrates forklift / rubber tire backhoe skills as required to complete all material handling tasks.
· Demonstrated ability to follow directions, stay on schedule, adhere to standards, and pay attention to details.
· Ability to work extended hours as required, including overtime and weekends.
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
