Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is currently looking for a Signer to fill one full-time (4-6 month contract) vacancy in our busy Pharmacy Operations Department.
Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Principle Responsibilities:
- Check calculations for the accomplishment of final, finished product
- Check label’s internal drug code name, CIN, BUDs and lot numbers
- Check rx number, date, directions, the name of the clinic, patient, doctor as well as the doctor’s license number, signature and signature line information
- Check medication’s name, strength, dose, bud, directions and flavor (when required)
- Verify staff, managers and pharmacists’ signature on scripts
- Verify the presence of auxiliary labels on bottles (when required)
- Validate script’s reference numbers against patient’s information logged in the database
- Validate information on the hard copy and weight slip against the script
- Validate information of medications contained within the database
- Verify that syringes, adapta caps and information sheets with the order (when required)
- Rectify and report errors on the CQI log
- Complete other duties as assigned and required by Management
Required Skills:

- Advanced drug knowledge (strengths, dosages, format)

Educational Requirement
- Associates degree, Trade or Technical School Diploma
- Vocational school or some college
Hours of Work
- Monday- Friday 10:00AM - 6:30PM (subject to change)
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
