Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
