Specialist Support Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Specialist Support Assistant to support children with special needs in educational or healthcare settings. The successful candidate will help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment while assisting with daily activities and individual care needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist children with daily routines, learning activities, and personal support.
- Implement individualized support plans and accommodations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Administer medication when required and in accordance with established procedures.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals.
- Support health, safety, and well-being in the learning or care environment.
- Assist with basic care tasks and maintain organized documentation.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices and support strategies.
- Ability to follow care plans and medication procedures.
- Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach.
- Relevant training or certifications in education, healthcare, or support services are an asset.

Pay: $65,500.00-$70,000.00 per year
