Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IFS Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized therapeutic services to children and adolescents, supporting their mental health and developmental needs within a pediatric healthcare setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver individual therapy sessions utilizing the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model tailored for patients
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on client needs, incorporating research-based approaches
- Maintain detailed case records in compliance with confidentiality standards and organizational policies
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
- Demonstrate cultural humility and empathy in all interactions with clients, fostering a space where they feel understood and supported.
- Promote a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Psychology (M.A., M.S., PhD), or a related field.
- Must be a current member of one of the following professional orders Ordre des travailleurs sociaux du Québec (OTSTQ) for social workers, or Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ) for psychologists or psychotherapists.
- Proven experience working with couples in a therapeutic setting; experience with children or pediatric patients is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically and effectively with diverse clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience working with clients in a therapeutic or counselling role is preferred.
- Commitment to professional growth and ongoing education
- Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
This position is integral to providing high-quality mental health services to young patients, supporting their overall well-being through compassionate therapy grounded in evidence-based practices.
Pay: $87.00-$105.00 per hour
