Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of automotive technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Perform complex automotive repairs, diagnostics, and inspections utilizing advanced mechanical knowledge and schematics.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete various repair tasks safely and effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service procedures to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, industry regulations, and dealership policies while fostering a safe working environment.
- Assist with training team members on technical procedures, new tools, and safety protocols to promote continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and service recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and the use of various hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Experience with automotive maintenance procedures including diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with vehicle schematics for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience managing a team of technicians or mechanics.
