Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead our Truck and Trailer service shop and the yard. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, and ensure exceptional managerial skill. This role requires a strong background in truck and trailer shop, and excellent leadership skills to maintain high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
- Supervise and support technicians, including those with mechanic experience and mechanical knowledge
- Oversee repair processes, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, including upselling additional services and parts
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive relationships to promote repeat business
- Manage shop staff and yard staff
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs
- Monitor department performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
- Train, motivate, and evaluate staff to foster a productive team environment
- Manage entire yard operations
Experience
- Proven Truck and Trailer shop experience
- Strong mechanic experience with solid mechanical knowledge
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing a team of technicians or service advisors is preferred

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
