Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator and Project Coordinator to join our team at Cypress Railings and Gates LTD. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing bidding processes, and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation, with a focus on delivering high-quality results within budget and schedule constraints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects while utilizing industry-leading tools and techniques.
Duties
- Prepare detailed construction estimates using Bluebeam, AutoCad, Revit , QuickBooks Online and Monday.com CRM, and other estimating software.
- Develop project budgets, pricing strategies, and cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to accurately assess the scope of work.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather quotes and negotiate terms effectively.
- Manage bid submissions, track project timelines, and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards, schedules, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, resource allocations, and procurement plans.
- Monitor project progress, perform cost analysis, and implement adjustments as needed for effective cost control.
- Assist in contract negotiations and manage contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and maintain project momentum.
- Work from office but there will be some driving around to customer and jobsites
- Class 5 driver License with clean abstract is required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and related software tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable for practical insight into project execution.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools for scheduling and resource planning.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting proposals clearly.
