PARR Metal (Winnipeg) is currently accepting applications for an experienced and motivated Shipper / Receiver. We are a diversified, employee-owned machine shop where no two days are the same. Our fast-paced environment offers both challenge and opportunity for those with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation
- Pack and unpack goods for shipment and receipt
- Oversee loading and unloading of materials
- Determine shipping methods and coordinate logistics
- Handle raw materials and maintain organized inventory
- Safely lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Valid driver’s license (driver’s abstract required at interview)
- Experience with pallet lifters, forklifts, hoists, or dollies
- Knowledge of powered crane operation (asset, not required)
- Comfortable using general office equipment
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to accuracy
