About the Role:
The Chocolate Molding/Packaging Operator plays a key role in supporting chocolate molding and packaging operations by preparing, handling, organizing, and transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the production process. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient line operations, maintaining product quality, and upholding the highest standards of food safety, employee safety, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will contribute to a clean, safe, and productive manufacturing environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform SAP transactions, data entry, and production order verification to support accurate production and inventory management.
- Prepare, stage, and replenish raw materials to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.
- Support molding operations through packaging, labeling, wrapping, line setup, and cleanup activities.
- Monitor inventory levels, complete CCP documentation, and ensure accurate operational records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment in compliance with GMP requirements.
- Perform sanitation activities and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) tasks according to established schedules and standards.
- Operate lift trucks and other material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with certification requirements.
- Communicate production status, operational updates, and critical information during shift handovers and daily operations.
- Support packaging, warehousing, and Molding Line Attendant responsibilities as required to meet business needs.
- Comply with HACCP, food safety, quality, safety, BCOS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and data entry tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively across shifts and departments.
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to perform physical work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to regularly climb stairs and safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a warm production environment, including exposure to heat and varying manufacturing conditions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
Compensation: Hourly Rate: $30
Working Hours: Continental shift 6:45pm to 7:00am
