The Opportunity
SunMETA Group is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of an Administrative Assistant in Calgary, Alberta.
This position is in the Curriculum Department and will work with a collegial, fun, and supportive team!
Key Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant is a core member of the SunMETA team:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of educational materials
- Ensures that educational content complies with organizational standards, branding, guidelines, and educational best practices, maintaining consistency across all program materials
- Learns and maintains an in-depth knowledge of program requirements and regulations for various programs
- Provide support to all faculty regarding programs, courses, and course materials.
- Initiate outbound cold calls and conduct detailed surveys with employers, gathering market insights, while maintaining precise records of all interactions
- Communicates and coordinates extensively
- Completes administrative tasks, updates information systems, supports projects, facilitates initiatives;
- Works effectively in a supportive, collaborative team setting
- Supports other duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary diploma required (degree is an asset).
- An education background is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service and phone communication experience (surveying, cold calling, or sales/call center)
- Post-secondary education experience or familiarity with post-secondary course structures (must have)
- Strong market research skills (must have)
- Course and curriculum development skills/experience (an asset)
- Strong and demonstrable analytical skills (must have)
- Experience working with government documentation (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel, PowerPoint
- Technologically savvy with an eye for efficiencies
- Willing and able to work within a team environment on independent tasks
- Reliable, punctual and well-organized
- Desire to engage and contribute to a fun, fast-paced, supportive environment
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to derive satisfaction from completing tasks well on-time.
- Able to prioritize daily and weekly tasks; a proven ability to meet deadlines.
