We’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Fly-By-Wire (FBW) and Secondary Flight Control Systems to join a dynamic aerospace team in Montreal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of FBW and secondary flight control systems at the aircraft level
- Collaborate with system suppliers to define concepts, design approaches, and overall architecture
- Conduct and review feasibility analyses to support system development
- Develop, validate, and verify technical requirements
- Prepare and review system requirements, test procedures, and certification reports
- Execute testing on rigs and aircraft, supporting certification activities
- Investigate in-service issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with ARP4754 development processes
- Contribute to trade studies and lifecycle cost evaluations for future programs
- Ensure alignment with internal engineering standards and requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Direct involvement in the definition and certification of FBW and/or secondary flight control systems
- Strong understanding of system integration, certification, and aircraft interfaces (electrical, hydraulic, avionics, autoflight)
- Knowledge of Part 25 certification requirements
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow preferred)
- Familiarity with tools such as ADAMS or CATIA is an asset
- Experience with requirements management tools and MS Office
- Strong autonomy, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive mindset with solid engineering judgment and a results-driven approach
