VanEcoRide is a growing, eco-friendly mobility startup in Vancouver specializing in e-bike and e-scooter rentals and repairs. We're not looking for a fully trained technician — we're looking for someone who wants to learn, and we're committed to developing that person the right way. Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair e-scooters and e-bikes, including tire changes and parts replacement
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform safety checks and manage the overall condition of our rental fleet
- Identify recurring problems and work toward root-cause solutions
- Help build and improve standardized maintenance workflows for a faster, more reliable repair process
Requirements
- A genuine willingness to learn. This matters more to us than prior experience or certifications. No experience? You're still welcome to apply.
- Good hands-on aptitude and the focus to pick up technical skills quickly
- Honest and accountable. You take ownership of your work
- Comfortable speaking up when something doesn't seem right, and able to back it up with reasoning
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with long-term work authorization in Canada are preferred
- Experience in e-mobility, bicycle repair, or any hands-on mechanical work
- Conversational English
- Experience documenting or improving work processes into standardized systems or manuals
Compensation & Culture
- $18.25/hr + 5% commission(A blended structure where your commission share grows as your skills develop)
