Overview
We're looking for a Project Manager who has extensive construction experience , someone who can read a structural drawing, understand why a mechanical rough-in sequence matters, and knows what a realistic trade schedule looks like versus a wish list. You'll own projects from tender hand-off through closeout, running budgets, schedules, subtrades, and client relationships in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where deadlines are firm and the details matter.
Please attach a listing of previous projects you have been the lead project manager on.
Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery from award through substantial completion, managing scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection drawings to identify coordination issues before they become field problems.
- Build and maintain the master construction schedule; keep trades sequenced and accountable.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and CCDC contract administration.
- Run site meetings, coordinate with consultants, and act as the primary point of contact for the owner and design team.
- Ensure site safety compliance and manage inspections through to permit closeout and occupancy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years managing commercial construction or tenant fit-out projects as a GC, ideally including hospitality, retail, or entertainment work.
- Genuine fluency in construction drawings and specs across all disciplines — you don't need scopes explained to you.
- Hands-on experience with CCDC contracts, change management, and multi-trade scheduling.
- A track record of keeping projects on budget and on schedule, with the judgment to know when to push back on a trade and when to solve it yourself.
- Strong relationships with GTA subtrades and suppliers, or the credibility to build them fast.
- Gold Seal certification, PMP, or a construction-related diploma/degree is an asset but not a substitute for field experience.
- Comfortable being on-site regularly, not just running the job from a desk.
What Sets a Great Fit Apart
The candidates who thrive on our team think like builders first. They catch a clash between a raised-floor detail and a mechanical duct run before it hits the field, they know which subs actually show up when they say they will, and they can walk a site and tell you in five minutes whether the schedule is real. If that sounds like you, we want to talk.
