Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves performing tire services, maintenance, and repairs with precision and efficiency to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sales techniques. The Tire Technician will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles while providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace tires on a variety of vehicle makes and models using hand tools and power tools
- Perform wheel alignments, balancing, and rotation services to optimize vehicle performance
- Conduct routine maintenance checks related to tires and suspension systems
- Assist customers by explaining tire options, maintenance needs, and recommended services to enhance their vehicle’s safety and performance
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tire-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met at all times
- Handle heavy lifting of tires and wheels safely during installation or removal processes
- Keep accurate records of services performed for each vehicle
Experience
- Dealership experience or previous work as a mechanic is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems is essential
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic automotive repair techniques is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tire installation or repairs
- Prior experience in sales or upselling additional services is a plus but not mandatory
