Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals and excellent customer service. The Kitchen Team Member will play a vital role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices during all stages of food handling
- Support cooking processes, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and served promptly to meet customer expectations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
- Support serving staff when necessary by delivering prepared meals to customers or assisting with order accuracy
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, food service, or kitchen environment is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling procedures
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting tasks
