Overview
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician specializing in Industrial Air Compressors to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing on-site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting services for a variety of industrial air compressor systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, along with excellent customer service abilities. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial air compressors and related equipment.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct welding, electrical work, and mechanical repairs as needed to ensure optimal compressor performance.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently during service tasks.
- Troubleshoot complex systems involving electrical components, mechanical parts, and control systems.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, recommend maintenance strategies, and ensure satisfaction.
- Assist in sales activities by providing technical expertise on products and services to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical repair, automotive repair, or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and control wiring related to air compressors.
- Hands-on experience with welding, power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar industrial machinery is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Previous experience with sales or providing technical support in an industrial setting is advantageous.
- Automotive repair or mechanic experience is beneficial but not mandatory. This position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
