Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing routine maintenance and oil changes efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, must have experience with automotive repair, and familiarity with hand tools and power tools. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in automotive maintenance and repair.
Duties
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations and repairs, and basic vehicle inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently
- Conduct fluid top-offs, filter replacements, and other routine maintenance procedures
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics and minor repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Promote additional maintenance or repair services when appropriate to support sales goals
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Experience
- Dealership experience or previous mechanical experience is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic automotive repair equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required for vehicle parts and equipment
- Prior experience in automotive maintenance or repair is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of sales techniques related to recommending additional services is a plus
