Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Members to join our dynamic food service team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on providing excellent service and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Kitchen Team Member will play a vital role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within our team. There may be the opportunity to also work in our food truck in Mahone Bay.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Handle food safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Support meal assembly and presentation to meet quality expectations
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Strong understanding of serving protocols and customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and food handling
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required

In addition to hourly pay, you are included in the tip pool, as well as potential end of season bonus.
