Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, communication, and efficient handling of cargo within warehouse environments and customer locations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne commercial vehicle to deliver goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Assist with moving goods within warehouses or storage facilities using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure safe driving and handling procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Valid 7.5 Tonne driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Commitment to safety standards and customer satisfaction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$21.35 per hour
