About Us
The Ukrainian National Federation of Canada – Avalon (Western NL), is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, producing, and promoting a vibrant Ukrainian community and culture in Newfoundland and Labrador. We work to support and unite the Ukrainian community, assist newcomers, and offer programs that enrich cultural life across the province.
Responsibilities:
- organizing age-appropriate activities with a Ukrainian cultural focus
- ensuring camper safety
- collaborating with fellow staff members
- Help create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming camp environment
Job Details:
- Orientation begins week of June 22
- Camp runs June 29 to August 7
- Full-time and part time positions available
- Pay $19.5 CAD/hour
Ideal Candidates:
- Outgoing, responsible, and love working with kids
- Have strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and energetic environment
- ability to handle diverse situations with care
- Preference will be given to bilingual (Ukrainian English) applicants
Requirements:
- Criminal Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid – CPR Level C
