Z’gamok Mining is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Construction Miner Lead.
The Construction Miner Lead is responsible for assisting in coordinating underground construction mining activities, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are met. This role combines hands-on mining work with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of miners in performing ground support, equipment operation, and construction of underground infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead a construction crew in underground construction activities.
· Install ground support using jackleg and stoper drills
· Operate scissor lifts safely and effectively
· Build forms and pour concrete pads
· Maintain and extend air and water systems underground
· Maintain and extend the ventilation system
· Work with shotcrete, including application and finishing
· Build and tie in rebar walls
· Perform vent removal and tie-ins in all aspects of underground work
· Construct and maintain underground passages and haulage ways
· Conduct pre-use circle checks on equipment
· Clean, maintain, and secure equipment as part of daily responsibilities
· Complete daily paperwork accurately including timesheets, pre-operational inspections; ect.
· Participate in "safety toolbox" meetings
· Participating in safety/incident investigations and reviews
· May operate LHD equipment- 6 or 8-yard scooptrams
· Comply with all company policies and procedures
· Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
· Assist with general labor duties when needed to complete mining projects
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Valid Class G Drivers License
· Minimum of 3 years jackleg and stoper experience underground
· Minimum 2 years experience in construction mining with supervisory experience
· Must have common core 770010 and be registered with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills (MTCU)

· Knowledge of shotcrete application and rebar construction
· Ability to read and understand mine prints
· Skilled in operating various underground equipment.
· Strong commitment to safety and proper equipment handling.
· Knowing, understanding, communicating and ensuring compliance with the safety regulations (Occupation Health and Safety Act) and safety policies and procedures
· Good organizational abilities, time management and prioritizing skills; able to meet deadlines
