Role Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Millwork Installer and bring architectural visions to life through the precise assembly and installation of custom wood products. In this hands-on role, you will work across high-end residential and commercial projects. Your craftsmanship, technical accuracy, and eye for detail will ensure every component meets the highest standards of aesthetic quality and function.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Assembly: Install high-end cabinetry, wall paneling, trim, custom molding, display fixtures, and architectural woodwork according to exact specifications.
- Shop Drawings & Plan Reading: Interpret detailed architectural drawings, elevation prints, schematics, and cut lists to execute precise site layouts.
- Site Preparation: Measure, scribe, leveling, and layout installation areas; set up equipment efficiently before starting work.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Expertly utilize hand tools, power tools, laser levels and precision measuring instruments to fit, trim, and secure wood components.
- Cross-Trade Integration: Coordinate fixture placement around basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins as needed.
- Safety & Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free job site, dispose of debris responsibly, and follow site safety protocols.
- Tool Ownership: Provide and maintain a personal set of standard hand tools and basic cordless power tools required for daily installation tasks.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, professional site demeanor, and clear communication with project leads and other trades.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in architectural millwork, or high-end cabinet installation.
- Technical Skills: A good understanding of millwork drawings, layout, job-site scribing, trim cutting, and hardware installation.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs safely, operate at heights (ladders/scaffolding), and stand for extended periods.
- Preferred Knowledge: General working knowledge of trade integration (plumbing cutout clearance, basic fixture wiring access) is a strong plus.
