Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to provide top-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Remove and replace tires using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper tread depth to determine repair or replacement needs
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment services as needed
- Assist customers by explaining tire options, maintenance recommendations, and related services
- Conduct routine maintenance on tire equipment and ensure all tools are properly maintained and stored
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Manage sales of tires and related automotive products, providing excellent customer service throughout the process
- Assist with vehicle inspections and other automotive repair tasks as required
Experience
- Dealership experience or mechanic background is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and tire maintenance
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized tire equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) regularly during tire installation and removal
- Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of sales techniques related to automotive products is a plus
