Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining precision tools, dies, in production processes. The Tool and Die Maker will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Duties
- Use hand tools, calipers, and measuring instruments to inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
- Perform machining operations such as milling, turning, grinding, welding, and assembly of tooling components.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and mathematical calculations to produce accurate tools.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes and tooling specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform adjustments or repairs as needed to maintain production standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve existing tools or develop new manufacturing solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role within a manufacturing environment 3yrs min exp.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machining processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent math skills for precise measurements and calculations related to tool design.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and the ability to work with various materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in maintaining and adjusting automotive progressive and transfer type tooling.
Pay: $34.00-$44.00 per hour
