We're looking for an experienced Civil Construction Foreman to lead field crews on challenging infrastructure projects. If you're a hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work while keeping projects on schedule, we'd like to hear from you!
Qualifications
- 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience, including supervisory or foreman experience.
- Proven leadership and crew management skills.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, underground utilities, road construction, grading, concrete, and related civil infrastructure.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- First Aid, CSTS, WHMIS, or other relevant certifications are considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field crews.
- Plan work, assign tasks, and ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and project progress to meet schedule and budget goals.
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively.
- Complete daily reports, time sheets, and documentation.
- Mentor and develop crew members to build a high-performing team.
