Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and dependable Server to join our Tea House team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent guest service, working in a busy dining environment, and helping create a warm and memorable experience for every guest.
The Server will be responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, processing payments, maintaining clean service areas, and supporting the overall flow of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally
- Present menus and provide helpful information about food, beverages, specials, and restaurant policies
- Take accurate guest orders and enter them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Suggest menu items when appropriate to enhance the guest experience
- Process payments accurately, including cash, card, and POS transactions
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures
- Clear, clean, and reset tables between guests
- Keep dining areas, service stations, and workspaces clean and organized
- Communicate with kitchen and front of house staff to help ensure smooth service
- Respond to guest questions, requests, or concerns in a polite and professional manner
- Assist with general restaurant duties as needed during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server or in a restaurant, café, tea house, or hospitality setting is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and focused during busy shifts
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling payments
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
