Preschool Canada Mississauga Campus is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Supervisor to join our Preschool Canada – Mississauga Campus on a temporary (1 year Contract) or Part-time basis. As a Child Care Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care, managing a team of childcare professionals, ensuring that our facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained, and ensuring that the facility complies with all Ministry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
o Oversee day-to-day operations of the childcare facility.
o Ensure that the facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
o Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
o Develop and implement age-appropriate programs and activities that support children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
o Lead, manage and mentor a team of childcare professionals.
o Provide guidance, support, and feedback to staff members.
o Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
o Communicate with parents, guardians, and staff to ensure that everyone is up-to-date on children's progress and any concerns are addressed promptly.
o Manage and maintain records and documentation related to the childcare facility.
o Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations related to childcare.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field is preferred but not required
o Proficient in knowledge of the Child Care Licensing Manual by the Ministry of Education, including being self-sufficient in ensuring it's application of the requirements to the child care facility.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a childcare setting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
o Knowledge of child development, learning, and behaviour.
o Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to childcare.
o Certification in CPR and First Aid.
o Immunization and TB test are required following region requirements.
o Vulnerable Police Check is required.
