Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Accounts Receivable & Human Resources Administrative Clerk (ARAC/HR) to join our administrative team. This diversified role supports the Accounting, Human Resources, Sales, Purchasing, and Executive departments through a variety of accounting, administrative, and HR-related functions.
The ideal candidate will be punctual, professional, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and a collaborative team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Accounting Duties
- Process daily customer invoicing, credit notes, and related reports
- Prepare and process daily bank deposits including cheques, EFTs, debit, and credit card transactions
- Administer and reconcile Moneris credit card terminal operations
- Manage customer accounts receivable functions including collections, credit reviews, account maintenance, and aging reports
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Monitor and report currency exchange rates daily
- Maintain organized customer files and transaction records
- Assist with Accounts Payable administrative support as required
- Generate daily stock receiving and back-order reports
- Maintain petty cash and safe security procedures
- Assist with year-end inventory processes and reporting
Administrative Support
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, and Executive Management
- Prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Maintain office equipment and coordinate servicing when required
- File and organize purchasing and receiving documentation
- Support various departmental projects and operational requirements
Human Resources Support
- Provide administrative support to payroll and HR departments
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, interview scheduling, and background checks
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR projects
- Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees as needed
- Assist in maintaining compliance with employment legislation and confidentiality standards
- Support workplace health and safety initiatives, training, and record keeping
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience processing Accounts Receivable and associated ledger entries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of Tecsys/Streamline V10 software or other mainstream accounting software
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Punctual, trustworthy, highly organized, and a proven multi-tasker
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment
- Preference will be given to candidates with CGA and/or CHRP accreditation
