NS Modular is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Ironworker, whose primary responsibilities are installing or dismantling structural steel according to engineered prints and quality standards. What You’ll Be Doing
- Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
- Assemble rigging cables, pulleys, and hooks to move heavy equipment and materials
- Attach cables from a crane or derrick and direct crane operators with hand signals or radios
- Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts
- Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures
- Ensure work practices, EH&S, and OH&S compliance are followed on site
What You Bring to the Table
- Must provide proof of Ironworker Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice level status
- Experience in industrial or construction sectors
- Physically fit and able to safely lift and handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to use judgement and apply discretion when making decisions
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Strong time-management skills
- Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial, but not required
- Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
- Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset (i.e., WHMIS, forklift, fall protection, etc.)
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
