SKILLED INDUSTRIAL WELDER FABRICATORS
Parallel provides product and service solutions to some of North America’s largest resource-based sectors including Forestry, Mining, Aggregate, Steel Recycling, Biomass Energy and Hemp. We are a major construction contractor in Welding, Heavy Fabrication, Millwrighting, Electrical and General-Construction.
We are currently hiring experienced Welder Fabricators to support industrial warehouse and commercial office builds in Quesnel, BC.
Projects are scheduled to be 6 months in duration. Day and Night Shifts. 10 hour shifts daily. Typical turnaround is 3 weeks on, 2-3 weeks off.
This role requires a strong understanding of structural builds, mechanical processes, blueprint reading, and welding fabrication expertise. Experience in Industrial Mills and/or Mines and with warehousing equipment is required. Familiarity with other trade processes is expected.

REQUIREMENTS
- Submit ticket with application
- Minimum 2 years welding and construction fabrication experience
- Field experience in Lumber Mills or Mines
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation and forklift handling
- Blue-print reading skills required and ability to work with or without drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Dedicated to quality excellence with a superior work ethic
- Must be able to work unsupervised at times
- Must be drug free **
- Willing to work days, nights, weekends
- Current Safety or Training Certificates an asset (i.e., Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform, Forklift Operator)
- Red Seal Ticket an asset
SPECIFICS
- Adhere to all Parallel and Client Safety standards and governing regulations.
- Analyze schematics and blueprints to determine material requirements and plan scope sequencing.
- Prepare, assemble, weld and install structural steel and equipment (i.e. conveyance systems, pumps, fans, compressors, fluid power systems)
- Determine welding equipment, methods, techniques and measurements to ensure optimal welds and conformance with designs and specifications.
- Perform visual examination of work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings and take measurements to plan layout.
- Identify issues and hazards, and troubleshoot accordingly.
- Perform scope alongside other trades. i.e. Millwrights, Carpenters
- Build and maintain professional relationships with co-workers.
