As the electrical foreman/lead, you will report to operations manager and over
see the electrical apprentice’s for instruction, quality of workmanship, scheduling, and detailed
inspection. The following are general tasks carried out, but limited to daily routine:
(A) Review house plans for appropriate build model, and make changes based on customer
requests with the assistance of draftsperson.
(B) Work in conjunction and partnership with other subtrades.
(C) Record rough-in list of materials and give to purchaser.
(D) Record finish list of materials and give to purchaser.
(E) Schedule apprentices for rough-in.
(F) Schedule apprentices for finish.
(G) Record service material and give to purchaser.
(H) Arrange electrical testing of all circuits and megger panel, prior to leaving site.
(I) Prepare panel load calculation and record for CSA documentation.
(J) Schedule permit and service hook up with utility.
(K) Travel to set up site with company vehicle and deploy apprentices for assistance in
service hook up.
The above duties are conducted while scheduling of electrical install is required, and during
down times between electrical tasks, flexibility in assisting other subtrades may be required. As production increases 2024, electrical requirements will likely increase to full time.
