K9 Ranch has 10 years of experience providing expertise and quality care in the animal care industry. We provide an off leash, social environment on a 28-acre farm just outside of Tottenham, ON. We are focused on providing the highest level of care and enjoyment to the dogs in our boarding and daycare programs!
We are looking for committed, energetic staff to add to our capable team of dog handlers! This job is for you if you have a passion for learning, and growing in your skill set working with dogs and animals! We are looking for individuals who have good flexibility, have their own reliable transportation, are willing to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as we open 7am-8pm 7 days a week and holidays!
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising social groups, and exercising dogs during pack walks.
- Assessing dog social behaviours and determining appropriate social groups.
- Arriving/departing dogs and communicating with clients.
- Tracking each dog's belongings and making note of all necessary information (feeding instructions, medications, medical accommodations, etc.)
- Provide updates on dog's wellness and social progress.
- Maintaining and updating communication logs regarding behaviour, medication and feeding.
- Administering medication and food to client dogs.
- Providing basic medical care and basic first aid if necessary.
- Examining dogs regularly to ensure health and wellness.
- Bathing and limited grooming tasks.
- Cleaning kennel facilities, including:
- Kennel runs
- In-home boarding areas
- Food and water dishes
- Poop pick-up in fields
- Maintaining general cleanliness and safety of dog exercise areas on property.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in a kennel, or in the pet industry is a requirement for this position.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment, and prioritize tasks!
- Organizational skills, and detail-oriented care.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, and a willingness to do basic outdoor chores.
- Flexible availability, and own reliable transportation.
- Commitment to providing friendly and personable customer service to our clients during the drop-off and pick-up of boarding and daycare dogs.
Shifts:
- Morning Shift- 7:00am - 2:30pm
- Evening Shift- 12:00pm - 7:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
