Overview
We are seeking an experienced Parts Person to join our team at Jasper Tank in Acheson, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and customer service, with the ability to source, procure, and manage inventory effectively.
Position Requirements
- Parts Person.
- Experience working at an industrial parts counter.
- Capable of lifting 50lbs.
- High School Diploma
- Valid Drivers License
Responsibilities
- Source, order, and manage parts and materials required to manufacture truck mounted tanks, van bodies, and complete service work including specialized components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts, and resolve any issues related to delays or shortages
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and track part usage trends for better forecasting.
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of parts, ensuring all incoming orders are accurate and match purchase orders, deal with discrepancies as they occur.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and update the inventory management system regularly to ensure all parts are accounted for.
- Work closely with the production teams to ensure the availability of all required materials for scheduled production runs.
- Supply and control parts to internal mechanics and welders, ensure accurate recording of parts or materials are up to date and accurately charged to the correct project(s).
- Organize and label parts in the warehouse for easy access and efficient retrieval, ensuring parts are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
- Maintain parts counter area and keep personal work area clear and clean
Skills and Abilities
- Proven self starter with a strong work ethic, high energy and integrity
- Proven ability to stay organized, multitask, manage time effectively with attention to detail
- Computer skills a must, quick learner with ability to learn in-house systems
- Experience with online inventory, invoicing, and ordering systems.
- Experience working with various Suppliers, making inquiries, purchasing and receiving orders
- Customer Service skills and experience, including answering and taking calls, customer call backs, assisting with customer inquiries.
- Demonstrates an ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Able to maintain a positive attitude in fast paced high stress environments
- Team Player, willingness to help where needed.
Rate of pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
