Position Summary:
The Maintenance & Landscaping Technician is responsible for a variety of indoor and outdoor duties. This involves being familiar with various pieces of maintenance & landscaping equipment as well as health and safety standards. Must be a team player, willing to work overtime when requested and / or various shifts.
- Knowledge of minor building maintenance and repairs
- Performs regular repairs to building and equipment
- Experience with drywall repairs and painting
- Respond to all work order and maintenance requests
- Basic plumbing experience
- Experience in flooring repairs with carpet and tiles
- Changing lights and ceiling tiles
- Trash and recycling services
- Equipment assembly and installation
- Conduct routine inspections and more
Job Description (Landscaping)
- Sound knowledge of landscaping duties and responsibilities
- Performs all grounds keeping duties and responsibilities
- Lays sod
- Mows, cuts, trims, thatches & rakes grass
- Weed removal
- Plants, prunes & maintains gardens
- Litter pick up
- Knowledge of lawn equipment such as lawn mowers, lawn tractors, leaf blower etc
- Snow removal, salting & sanding
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Basic use of maintenance and landscaping tools
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Self-starter
- Glass G license with clean abstract
- Good interpersonal communication and organization skills
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
