Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in diverse settings such as acute care, dementia care, pediatrics, senior care, hospice care, and home care.
- Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document findings using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Assist with procedures including phlebotomy, pain management, and laboratory testing.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Manage case documentation efficiently to support continuity of care across various healthcare environments.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the appropriate licensing body.
- Proven experience in nursing home settings, hospitals, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and clinical procedures such as phlebotomy.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors, children, or hospice patients is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
