Responsibilities
- Safely operate your vehicle or company-provided transportation to deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery of items while verifying recipient details and obtaining signatures when required
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist with moving items within warehouses or storage facilities as needed, utilizing heavy lifting skills when applicable
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents during routes
Skills
- Experience with moving heavy items safely and efficiently in various environments
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a strong plus
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients upon delivery
- Strong communication skills for clear coordination with team members and customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding inventory handling and logistics processes
- Proven track record in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
